Tuition
One-on-one support with learning how to use your computer effectively.
That means tuition for your needs - not what some course designer thinks you should know.
In an hour we can cover all those things that can drive you crazy when using your computer.
Just keep a pad by the Mac and write down what things you'd like to know more about or do in a better way. That way our tuition session is specific and does not waste time teaching things that are not of real interest and usefulness to you.
Tuition is paced just how you want it to be, without pressure and making sure you get the results you need. As a teacher with over 32 years experience I am well-placed to understand the needs of the individual learner.
I charge $30 per hour for such tuition for one person or a small group (under 5).

Help
Whether it is getting that shiny new Mac up and running, perhaps transferring files from an older system to the new one, or simply installing a piece of software - I can do it for you. This can help avoid delays and guard against losing your valuable data and time.
Is your computer not behaving itself? They do that sometimes. Well, most things are usually fixed relatively easily these days and a heavy-handed approach - such as reformatting and reinstalling everything - is seldom needed. But a clear knowledge of issues, and how to solve them, is essential. This is where I can help you.
Internet changes - moving to a new service provider? getting a different modem? going wireless?
These things can be tricky to set-up and very frustrating if you have to resort to using so-called 'Help' lines for assistance.
There's nothing worse than trying to talk tech to a phone operator and making sense of complex issues you may never had first-hand knowledge of before. I can make such set-ups less painful, and if a problem arises know how to get it solved.
I charge $45 per hour for such techinical help or set-ups. This can often save you money as a trip back to the computer shop will mostly set you back far more in both time and money.
With new devices always coming onto the market, I keep up-to-date with these changes to make sure I can always assist clients. iPod? iPad? Ah... the choices never end!
